Ear Update

On Tuesday, my doctor removed the packing. But…I still have packing behind my eardrum. It’ll take 6 weeks to 3 months for it to dissolve. The doctor guessed that, if the surgery worked, my hearing would return over time.

Ear Surgery

I had ear surgery today to figure out why my left ear doesn't work. The surgeon found a dislocated bone in my ear.

The anvil was dislocated. He replaced it with a prosthesis and used cartilage to connect it. In three weeks, he'll remove the packing from my ear and we'll see if it worked.

Upcoming Birthday

The 4th's my birthday. I'll be seeing Food Network's Alton Brown do a thing in Houston. I'm getting a cake, Skyrim for PlayStation 3, and LEGO Batman 3 and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes for the PlayStation 4. That, and a show I like returns with new episodes.

 

I JUST downloaded Steam, which is a way to play PC games. I'm about to get an old game called Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

 

I'm actually excited.

First Post

I indirectly got the inspiration to start a blog when one of my friends was trying to help me figure out a productive, satisfying way to use my writing talent. He suggested journalism or editorials. I frowned upon those ideas because I'm terrified of deadlines. I'm lazy and unmotivated. Out of the blue, I thought of doing a blog about my somewhat limited number of hobbies. This blog will, most likely, consist of inconsistent posts about video games and comic-related things. I'm now at a lost as to end this first post. Any ideas?
